LIGATT Security International (PINKSHEETS: LGTT) announced today that the company has purchased the rights to 26 episodes of the hit television series, "Atlanta Investigations," formally "Atlanta Homicide." The company closed the deal with StarMaxx Media's CEO and Senior Producer Carl Millender following the signing of a letter of intent in March 2009. With a viewer base of 17.8 million homes, "Atlanta Investigations" is the number one watched drama series on CoLours TV and is currently generating revenue. The series centers on the lives of six officers as they investigate local murders and related crimes.
During each one hour episode there are 8 commercial slots owned by LIGATT Security International that will be sold to advertisers. In addition to LIGATT Security International inserting its brand in each episode, they will also sell product placement to other advertisers. LIGATT Security is currently in negotiations with advertising agencies to sell product placement and sponsorships.
"I am thrilled that 'Atlanta Investigations' will offer our audience the opportunity to gain the awareness needed to understand the severity of cyber crime. It is my goal to make sure that viewers across the nation are not only made aware of the dangers associated with hi-tech crimes, but they are equipped with the tools needed to combat hi-tech crime activity," says CEO of LIGATT Security International Gregory Evans.
"Atlanta Investigations" is a primetime episodic drama that airs on the Dish Network's channel 9407, which is viewed by 15% of all US households, and details the accounts of some of Atlanta's most perplexing unsolved murder cases. The series features real investigation cases much like "America's Most Wanted" while incorporating an element of drama as in hit CBS network programs, "CSI" and "Cold Case" and will feature not only homicides, but all types of unsolved crimes including identity theft, cyber stalking, computer hacking, and other hi-tech crime investigations. Filming for "Atlanta Investigations" takes place at various locations in the metro Atlanta area. Casting for the local crime series will begin immediately and filming will begin in approximately two weeks.
