CBS partners with EQAL to produce branded content

CBS is contracting the services of EQAL (maker of ?lonelygirl15?) to launch an online extension of the network?s upcoming horror series ?Harper?s Island.?

The digital production team of EQAL will be collaborating with the developers of the CBS series Web site?HarpersGlobe.com. This Web site will house content that is meant to complement the TV show. It includes its own set of original story lines and characters.

HarpersGlobe.com is slated to premiere on March 18, about three weeks before the TV premiere of the show, which premieres on April 9. CBS spokespersons say that EQAL executives have been collaborating with the show?s writers since last spring.

The produced content can also be streamed from CBS.com and other mobile platforms.
