ManiaTV Branded Entertainment enters the music industry

Online content studio ManiaTV is slated to launch one of its most ambitious market ventures: a new show called “Making the Music.”

The new show represents the company’s jump into the music business. “Making the Music” aims to replace the role of music labels in producing albums. The original series follows the life of renowned hip-hop producer Scoop Deville as he develops a new album. ManiaTV will get a cut in the revenues once the LP is released.

Scoop Deville has worked with some of the most famous hip-hop artists of our time, most notably Snoop Dogg. In each episode the producer will preview potential albums and viewers get to vote which of the featured albums will be uploaded on iTunes.

ManiaTV CEO Peter Hoskins mentioned that the show will serve as a hybrid market research vehicle. Viewer analytics will give the company a better understanding of Deville’s fan base, which will help them decide when and where to go on tour.

ManiaTV will also hook-up the show with renowned sponsors in the music industry.
