As part of Fox?s split development season, the network is currently eyeing four pilots: Boldly Going Nowhere, Glee, Ernesto, and UMS/BermanBraun?s Virtuality.

Sources say that network executives are favoring the comedy Boldly Going Nowhere, which comes from Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton. Another exec selection is Ryan Murphy?s Glee?an hour long musical comedy.

Both series will go into production quickly, because they already have pilot orders and additional scripts. Glee is a prime option for replacing the American Idol slot (once the season is over).

The drama series Ernesto, which stars Wilmer Valderrama, is not expected to reach the next levels of production. A co-star in the series?Nick Zano?landed a new gig with USA?s pilot titled ?Operating Instructions.? On the other hand, the sci-fi pilot Virtuality will stay in consideration for the May 2009 line-up.
