Samsung and Sprint product placements in Survivor

In the latest episode of Survivor, the Samsung Instinct—powered by Sprint—was the designated prize for the reward challenge.



As the survivors were eating, award-winning host Jeff Probst announced that they will be competing for Samsung’s latest mobile innovation. Apart from winning the phone, the survivor who wins the challenge also gets a chance to watch a video from home through the Samsung Instinct video feature.   



As Probst announced the challenge, the survivors watched tidbits and edits of family messages from home. Upon watching the videos, the survivors became teary and sentimental--—highlighting the brand and the provider in the process.



Prior to this episode, most of the show’s product placements were cars and SUVs.
