Fox News is rebranding and reorganizing its marketing campaign by integrating mobile advertising a key player in the company?s approach.
Recently, the News Corp. bought 49% stake of the mobile joint venture Jamba. Jamba, which will now be known as the Fox Mobile Group, will be handling the News Corp.?s mobile campaign.
The mobile campaign will be helmed by three divisions with different assigned tasks. Fox Mobile Studios will handle content production, Fox Mobile entertainment will take care of licensing to third parties, and finally, Fox Mobile Distribution will handle circulation.
Former Nokia exec, Montanaro, said, ?These changes will support accelerated growth and extend our global leadership in mobile content licensing, distribution, and production.?
As web-based product placement and branded entertainment continue to develop, as will mobile ad placements. Nowadays, consumers want information on-the-go. While a steady stream of marketers and advertisers are continuing to move to the internet, they will soon find out that this is connected to mobile.
Since mobile phones now have internet capacity, it is actually an easier target. If you think about it, many people have computers and lap tops, but these gadgets aren?t always connected to them?unlike the mobile phone, which consumers bring everywhere.
