Toyota Scion Branded Entertainment – Shootorials for Gamers

Published on October 17, 2008 by PPN Staff   ·   No Comments

This week, Toyota?s trendy Scion model added a new online game to its branded entertainment portfolio.

In coordination with Kongregate, an online game developer, Toyota has launched a new website for young and aspiring game developers. The site, titled ?Labs?, can be accessed through Kongregate?s web page. It allows developers to create their own video games from scratch.

With this feature, site users can download tutorials or ?shootorials? (as they are called on the site), because developers are asked to create a shooter game. The Scion sponsorship will last for eight weeks.

The reason for the partnership is simple: both brands are targeting the same age demographics (18-24). Also, both are looking for the same consumer?creative, trendy, and aspiring.

For more details, go to the Kongregate website.
