Nickelodeon has recently signed a deal with
AT&T, to put branded entertainment on the hit show
iCarly. Branded ads will begin airing next week. One of the most prominent brands that will be featured in the show is
Samsung one of the global market leaders in mobile technologies.
According to
Media Week Building off one of iCarlys popular interactive segments, young actors in the ad use their Samsung Palm Centro phones to watch, shoot and share Random Dancing snippets. A call-out then directs viewers to an AT&T microsite hosted by Nick.com.
Samsung hopes that the young audiences of Nickelodeon will be "connected" to friends and family with the Palm Centro phone.
The show also has plans to integrate other smart phone models, including Sony Ericssons W350 Walkman this upcoming fall.
