Micheal Phelps Product Placement

Spectators thought no one would be busier than Michael Phelps in the past few weeks. After shattering records and winning eight gold medals, he seemed like the hardest working man in the universe. But wait, you haven't met his agent: Peter Carlisle.

Talk about meetings -- Carlisle is busy.

Besides the obvious bobblehead dolls, acrylic paintings, commemorative coins, car rims and tuxedos and the free offers like all-he-can-eat pizza for a year and free dental work, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Phelps could be the next Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods. 

Current sponsors include Speedo, who offered $1 million if he won 7 gold medals and Matsunichi, a maker of MP3 player. 

Carlisle is quoted as saying that Phelps could be worth "$100 million over the course of his lifetime".

Unlike Tiger Woods, who is guaranteed exposure via competing each year on Television, Phelps will not appear again on Television until 2012. 

Another negative is Phelp's 2004 guilty please to driving while impaired.
